Speedflex Q&A – Josie Baxter

Speedflex Q&A – Josie Baxter

Thursday 17th August 2017

Seemingly a Royal enthusiast, Newcastle Personal Trainer Josie is the youngest, and arguably loudest, of the team. She shares her love of nachos and her goals to have washboard abs in this month’s Q&A!

Who is your hero/who do you look up to?
Not really a hero as such but I strive to have abs like the WWE Divas!

Where in the world would you most like to visit?
I would love to visit Australia and hug a Koala!

What’s your favourite film and song?
My favourite film has to be ‘10 Things I Hate About You.’ I love a sassy female lead character. At the moment my favourite song has to be New Rules by Dua Lipa, but it does tend to change on a weekly basis!

If you could have any job in the world, which one would you choose?
I would love to be Kate Middleton! Is that considered a job?!

What’s the best piece of advice anybody has given you?
My Dad always used to tell me to ‘Strive for excellence’ every day before I went to school. I didn’t listen then… but now I do my best to achieve an excellent standard in my session.

If you were stranded on a desert island and you could choose three things to have, what would they be?
Well I would definitely need some factor 50 sun cream for sure as I burn very easily, a very large portion of nachos, and a snorkel!

You’re hosting a dinner party and can invite any three people (dead or alive) who would you invite and why?
Princess Diana. And then I would have to invite my Gran as we do have a small obsession with her. Then we would have to invite Kate Middleton to make it a Royal affair, I’m sure she wouldn’t be bad crack.

What one item would you want to save if your house was on fire?
It would have to be my pug Harold, I got him from the build-a-bear factory when I was 12 and he waits for me in his bed everyday until I get home from work.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Nachos (cheese, sour cream, salsa). Every day. Hands down. No competition.

For you, what’s the best thing about training at Speedflex?
I love that Speedflex is high intensity but low impact. Although the best thing is definitely participating in a session with a fun atmosphere, it makes the time fly by!
